Departure from normal

I have always wanted to paint a city scene ever since I visited New York City. However when I went through my photos observing the crowded streets with taxi cabs and people going through their daily lives an image started to form in my mind. I found my feelings for what I was seeing on the streets of New York during the pandemic oddly surreal so I went with my gut with this new painting “Waiting Our Turn” as a reminder of what can’t become reality.
